'Twas the season, part 2 (with My Friend Flickr)

We escaped the fury of Seattle's infamous winter by heading off to Florida over Christmas. Since Grandma and Grandpa R live near Orlando, it made good sense to visit Disney World while we were there. Turns out to be one of the best trips we have ever taken! Disney World, while being a big commercial conglomerate, blah, blah, blah, is an AWESOME place to vacation with the under 5 set. We were met at the airport by helpful and friendly Disney staff, hopped aboard the nifty Magical Express bus and were delivered to our resort without a glitch. They even took care of the whole Baggage-Claim-at-Christmas-time-nightmare for us by gathering our massive suitcases from the carousel and delivering them promptly to our room. Normally vacations are not so relaxing for Mama The Planner. I worry about packing, transportation, transitions, tickets, timing, and schedules. At Disney, that was all taken care of for us. AHHHH! We stayed at the Lake Wilderness Lodge Resort which was a short ferry ride to Magic Kingdom (the only park we played at this time) and were able to shuttle back and forth with ease. Magic Kingdom was a big hit but I must say the character meals were a definite highlight. We made reservations at the Grand Floridian to see the princesses, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for Mickey and his pals, and the Crystal Palace to check out Pooh, et al. As for the rest...pictures say it way better than words!
